The 8th fundraising campaign for the Club des petits déjeuners du Québec and the Breakfast Clubs of Canada takes place just when people are looking for easy-to-give and pleasant-to-receive gifts. This year, National Bank is selling a cute tin filled with delicious cranberry cookies baked by La Petite Bretonne. What’s more, the tin can be re-used as a practical coin saver long after the treats are gone.

At $5 a piece, this is a great way to make people happy. Until December 31, 2012, just go to one of National Bank’s 448 branches across the country to purchase your tin of cookies.

Helping schoolchildren start their day off right
In founding the Club des petits déjeuners du Québec and Breakfast Clubs of Canada, Daniel Germain’s intent was to provide a nutritious breakfast to children coming to school on an empty stomach. He wanted to offer them an equal chance at success in school and in life.

Last year, thanks to donations received and many partnerships, 11,500 breakfast club volunteers served 18 million breakfasts to 119,000 students in 1,170 schools across Canada. In Quebec alone, 3,500 volunteers served up 2.5 million breakfasts to 18,000 youngsters in 289 schools.

Hurry to a National Bank branch to get your tin of cookies! Each tin costs $5 and all profits go to the Breakfast Clubs.
