ONE FOR YOUTH REGIONAL COMMITTEES: $1 MILLION INVESTED AGAIN THIS YEAR IN CANADA

National Bank is proud to announce that its Canada-wide One for Youth Regional Committees program will support 175 youth initiatives in Canada, including 123 in Quebec. More than 27,000 young people will benefit from this financial support awarded by the eight regional committees in the province tasked with selecting the recipients and winning projects for the second edition of the program.

A generous support for engagement-focused projects
For the members of National Bank’s regional committees, the variety and creativity of the projects submitted by non-profit organizations, elementary schools, and high schools, focused on education, health and wellness, or pursuing passions, once again demonstrated the dynamic nature of the many submissions. Recipients from coast to coast will share in the $1 million so that their inspiring youth initiatives can be implemented. This is in addition to the same amount distributed last year, which brings National Bank’s total investment in young people to $12 million over the past five years.

«Today we are celebrating the winning projects and their ambassadors. We are very proud that our financial support will make a difference for 27,000 young people in the communities where we do business. The selected initiatives demonstrate values of engagement, proximity, and excellence, and will make it possible for thousands of young people to reap concrete benefits and develop their potential,» said Karen Leggett, National Bank’s executive vice-president – marketing and corporate strategy.

Over the coming weeks, National Bank will invite the public and the media to follow the stories of our recipients as they develop and implement their projects.
