Launch of the 3rd edition of the One for Youth program

National Bank is proud to launch the 3rd edition of its One for Youth program. This year’s focus will be on projects that develop entrepreneurial spirit. In total, an additional $1 million will be invested to help tomorrow’s adults reach their full potential. This amount is in addition to the $12 million the Bank has earmarked for youth in the past five years.

“Fueling a passion for business in young people and helping them to power their ideas is a priority for National Bank. It’s a commitment that is directly related to our founding mission,” said Yann Jodoin, Senior Vice-President, Client Strategy, Marketing and Branding. “Business creation and innovation are vital to the development of lasting prosperity. National Bank is very proud to be able to contribute to this,” he added, encouraging business and community leaders to get involved in spreading the word about the One for Youth program in their networks.

About the application process

Starting today, and until November 6, non-profit organizations and elementary and high schools across Canada are invited to submit projects that will encourage young people to develop their entrepreneurial spirit: conferences, mentoring programs, competitions, etc. Each recipient could receive up to $15,000 in financial support.

Applications must be submitted using the online form available at nbc.ca/committees, by no later than 5 p.m. on November 6, 2015.

Once the application period closes, the projects will be evaluated by 12 One for Youth regional committees, consisting of National Bank’s local managers and key community stakeholders.

The One for Youth program in numbers

Since the program’s first edition, 279 organizations across Canada have been able to carry out inspiring initiatives and reach more than 76,000 young people, who have gained confidence, pride and self-esteem.
