Invitation to the 2012 Valleyfield Triathlon, presented by National Bank

National Bank invites you to the 10th edition of the Valleyfield Triathlon, a challenge for the benefit of the Fondation de l’Hôpital du Suroît, which will be held on August 26th in Delpha-Sauvé park, Salaberry-de-Valleyfield.
This friendly family race, consisting of allying swimming, biking and running, will group more than 1100 participants of all ages, competing for the causes of health and physical activity.
With several novelties this year, and a new route of swimming, the organizers can expect another unequalled success. Indeed, “the increase of the clientele is attributable to the quality of the event. The site is exceptional and the implication of about 150 dynamic and devoted volunteers are signs of success “, tells Luc Girard, Chair co-founder and director of the Valleyfield Triathlon.
Several activities will also be available during the event at the National Bank family area. Fun for all will be at the menu, including face painters and inflatable games for kids!
Edition 2012
Within the framework of this 10th edition of the Valleyfield Triathlon, the organizers invite you to take up a team challenge, for which the profits will be given to the Fondation de l’Hôpital du Suroît. The objective of this triathlon: amass funds to promote the health and the benefits of physical activity.
Various race categories are proposed to you: olympic, sprint, initiation, duathlon and youth triathlon. This year, National Bank is very proud to sponsor the youth triathlon, in addition to its partnership and presentation of the event, to encourage youth sport activities.
Once again this year, the races in honour of Robert Sauvé of five and ten kilometers, for the athletes of more than 16 years old, are also in the menu. To promote the running at the young people, but also at the least young, this race is an activity not to be missed.
“In recognition in all these years of dedication as volunteer, the organization wishes, this year still, to recognize the work of Robert Sauvé”, mention Luc Girard, proud supporter of this race.
A good event for the health!
The 2012 Valleyfield Triathlon will take place in Delpha-Sauvé park, between the bay of the lake Saint François and the old canal of Beauharnois. Besides the various organized races, several exhibitors will be present to promote the health, the sports nutrition, as well as equipments and accessories regarding triathlon.
