Louis Vachon Shows Support for Quebec Society for Disabled Children
Quebec Society for Disabled Children
On September 26, at the Mount Royal Chalet, leaders of Quebec’s business community will take part in the second edition of the Cabaret sur le Mont Royal, presented by National Bank, benefiting the Quebec Society for Disabled Children. Last year, the event was a resounding success, raising $325,000 for the Society—and this year’s edition is eagerly anticipated!
Louis Vachon, National Bank President and Chief Executive Officer and member of the Cabaret’s Honorary Board, was won over by the event’s unique concept and its dedicated champion, Jean R. Fabi. “Furthermore,” added Mr. Vachon at the September 6 press conference, “supporting the Cabaret sur le Mont Royal is a perfect way for National Bank to fulfill its goal of promoting the well-being of the communities it serves.” By contributing to the Cabaret, participants will help enhance the quality of life of thousands of children and their families.
The Quebec Society for Disabled Children
Over the past 85 years, the Quebec Society for Disabled Children has helped approximately 40,000 children living with a disability, by offering vacation camps, day camps, a specialized daycare, and respite and care facilities.
The funds raised through the Cabaret, will go toward creating a specialized rehabilitation and recreation centre for disabled children, and maintaining the society’s services such as summer camps and at-home childcare across Quebec.
The Cabaret sur le Mont Royal
The Quebec Society for Disabled Children is really looking forward to the sold-out Cabaret, explained Jean Duchesneau, the organization’s president. “We rarely get such high-profile opportunities to highlight our work with disabled children in Quebec, which we’ve been carrying out with such dedication for the past 85 years,” he said. “The Cabaret sur le Mont Royal is not only a great way to raise awareness about the Society but also provides the means to extend our outreach among Quebec children and their families, who all too often face their daily challenges alone.”
